Google is bringing new video editing and productivity features to Chromebooks

The widely used laptops among students across the world, Chromebooks, are getting additional video editing and productivity tools from Google. Google will release additional Chromebook features over the coming months, including tools for editing videos in the Google Photos app, improved app functionality, and tools for organization and productivity. An end-to-end movie requires numerous video segments, images, a title card, and music, all of which take time to create. With Google Photos, the company is updating its movie-making tools so that users can make professional movies with just a few taps.

There will be themes available for users to choose from, after which they must add people (or dogs! ), and Google Images will create a movie using both photos and video footage. It will carefully pick the most important scenes from your lengthy videos. The Google Photos movie editor will also offer the opportunity to create a movie from scratch. In addition to the video editor, Google is also introducing some new Chromebook productivity tools. Google is adding new PDF editing features to the Gallery with the Gallery app, making it simple to fill out forms, highlight text, sign documents, and add text annotations.

Next week, this feature will begin to be released. Users will be able to record, view, and share transcribed videos and presentations using the new Screencast app, whether it’s a virtual lecture, a how-to video, or a demo. The Cursive app can record, edit, and organize handwritten notes on Chromebooks that can be used with a stylus.

The company will also release new productivity and organization tools over the coming few months, along with new options for customers to customize their Chromebooks. These tools will help users manage their schedules and maintain focus. IDC says that the number of Chromebooks shipped around the world in the first quarter of 2022 dropped by 61.9% year over year, to 5.1 million devices.
