Fortnite players will now notice significant XP changes in the battle royale after Epic Games revalued the amount of experience Shared (NPC) Quests provide, effectively resolving many Season 8 complaints. Since the Fortnite designers implemented Punchcards, among other modifications, Chapter 2 Season 8 has become a bit tedious for gamers. Experience Points (XP) were designed to be distributed in a consistent manner throughout the season.
This meant that the XP-well would run empty sooner than expected for some Fortnite players. While dedicated players may grind their way to level 200, others were left with few choices for keeping up. Epic acknowledged that input and offered XP boost in patch 18.10, but they are now providing Fortnite players with another lifeline to grasp onto.
Fortnite XP Update
The upcoming XP update for Fortnite will raise the value of Shared Quests from Common (2,500 XP) to Legendary (3,750 XP). The full list of Fortnite XP update adjustments is available below.

- Epic stated in late September that “XP acquired in Battle Royale this season isn’t where we’d like it to be” and that they would make a few tweaks to address player issues.
With modifications to everything from Daily Punchcard assignments to Shared Quests, this will assist reduce the XP gap in the progress bar, allowing the levels to continue to rise. The Fortnite community has reacted positively. The new adjustments to the game’s XP have piqued the interest of many players.
As Fortnite Season 8 continues, we’ll see if the major changes to XP will be enough to assuage concerns from some players.
