Former US President Donald Trump criticizes Elon Musk for dropping the Twitter deal
Donald Trump, the former president of the United States of America, is once more in the news. This time, he made fun of Tesla CEO Elon Musk in front of the general public for walking away from a contract to buy Twitter. Elon Musk presented a 44 billion dollar purchase bid for Twitter to the company’s board of directors on April 14. The corporation offered $54.20 for each share. Even though the Twitter board was initially hesitant to accept the deal, on April 25th the business unanimously opted to accept the 44 billion dollar takeover offer. Twitter was intended to be a privately owned firm if the deal went through.
The process of the transaction has now been delayed by a number of disagreements between Musk and the Twitter board. Elon Musk also declared two days ago that he was pulling out of the purchase of Twitter. President Donald Trump highlighted the Twitter transaction and Elon Musk while speaking at a rally for Republican Party candidates in Alaska. Trump’s main goal during the gathering was to advertise his brand-new Truth Social app, which he released after being banned from Twitter for inciting violence. He asserted that a congress led by Republicans would seek to end the left’s censorship and restore free expression to the nation. Trump was alluding to a situation in which he was expelled from the Twitter app after attacking the US Congress in January 2021.
Donald Trump stated during the event that he was aware Elon Musk would not be purchasing Twitter. Elon Musk and Twitter’s deal, according to Trump, is a terrible one. Trump claims that the agreement was not a good one. Although attractive, the contract was poor. Trump also criticized Tesla’s CEO for declaring that he will cast his first Republican ballot in 2022. Elon Musk was a bad artist who would do anything, he informed the audience. Elon had earlier informed Trump that he had cast his ballot for Trump in the presidential election, according to Trump. However, Elon Musk has just said that he will cast his first Republican vote.
Ron DeSantis, the Republican governor of Florida, had previously received accolades from Elon Musk. Additionally, Musk declared that he would support Republican candidates since the Democratic Party, led by Joe Biden, had been encouraging the expansion of trade unions.
