Floyd Mayweather may fight this UFC legend
UFC athletes have increasingly been venturing into the boxing arena in search of bigger paychecks.
For instance, Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather fought and both made enormous one-time sums of money.
One of the UFC’s all-time greats, though, has turned down a chance to battle boxing’s most infamous star, Floyd “Money” Mayweather.
In an interview with TSN’s Aaron Bronsteter, former UFC welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre said that he has been offered the chance to fight Floyd Mayweather on many occasions.
He claimed he rejected the offers because the promoters were unwilling to let him kick or take down Mayweather.
St. Pierre had a successful run as one of the best MMA wrestlers, but this allegedly took his focus away from his kickboxing career.
It would be interesting to see whether Canadian MMA fighter Georges St-Pierre may be the one to eventually convince a boxer to accept the offer of a kickboxing tie by fighting Floyd Mayweather.
Fans are anticipating a fight between Floyd Mayweather (now 46) and Georges St-Pierre (who hasn’t fought in the ring in six years).
