Ezra Miller Fired from ‘The Flash’ by Warner Bros. Amid legal actions against him

Ezra Miller, who has played The Flash in many films for the DC Extended Universe, is expected to be let go from the series. News  reported on Friday that Miller was going to be dismissed shortly, albeit the article was toned down before publication. What should be done with the completed Flash movie remains an open subject.

Miller has allegedly been dodging authorities as they investigate many charges made against them. The man who portrayed superhero Barry Allen in Justice League will reprise the role in a June 23, 2023 release titled The Flash. Reliable sources at Warner Bros. have allegedly confirmed to Deadline that Miller will not be employed for any further film projects. This item originally stated: “Sources said even if no more allegations surface, the studio won’t likely keep Miller in the Flash role in future DC films. That would mean replacing him in the future, but there is still a $200 million investment on the line with the first film and Warner Bros execs have to be cringing at each new press report.”

According to a reports, there have been similar but unsubstantiated rumours. That said, let it be known that that particular assertion has now been removed from the Deadline piece. It does, however, include a supposedly anonymous remark from a studio insider, who said: “There is no winning in this for Warner Bros. This is an inherited problem for Zaslav. The hope is that the scandal will remain at a low level before the movie is released, and hope for the best to turn out.”

Miller has been involved in several issues and scandals over the years, including at least three instances of suspected violence in pubs in the past few years. Two separate sets of parents have come forward with claims that Miller improperly touched their children. Miller has been accused of “brainwashing” a 12-year-old North Dakota boy or girl for the past six years. This accusation comes from a family in Greenfield, Massachusetts.

The claimed victims in the later two incidents have come out in support of Miller. Miller, though, continues to disobey a summons from tribal officials on the Standing Rock Reservation, as far as we can tell. The actor has disappeared, and no one knows where to find them now that they have erased their Instagram account.

Miller’s most notable continuous role is in the Fantastic Beasts films, much more so than in The Flash. Despite the controversy surrounding Miller, Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore was aired this spring. But given the film’s reception was negative from both audiences and critics.

Reports that Miller would be dismissed from the DCEU film series have not been addressed by Warner Bros. or Miller’s reps as of yet. Unless anything unexpected happens, The Flash will hit cinemas on June 23, 2023.
