“Four rural Louisiana high school seniors attend T.M. Landry, an unusual K-12 school housed in a minimalist warehouse that is known for sending its graduates to major universities like Harvard, Yale, and Stanford. According to the synopsis, “the kids try to achieve the high standards of Mike Landry, the imposing founder of the school who designs a relentless road toward their college goals.” “When the New York Times publishes an expose on Landry’s questionable techniques, the school trembles under the pressure.” Each senior is confronted with unpleasant truths about themselves school and the college applications process, and determine what they are prepared to do to be accepted.
