According to the synopsis, “Abandoned follows the sharply focused lives of Sara (Emma Roberts), her husband Alex (John Gallagher Jr.), and their young boy as they relocate into a secluded farmhouse with a terrible, sad history.” “As the past of their home is disclosed, the mother’s fragility develops to a condition of madness, endangering her own safety and that of her newborn boy.” Spencer Squire directed the picture, which stars Emma Roberts (American Horror Story, Nerve), John Gallagher Jr. (Peppermint), and Michael Shannon (Heart of Champions).
