Erika Jayne shares about her alleged affair with Ex-Husband Tom Girardi after winning $5 million fraud lawsuit
This week, the actress of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” won her $5 million fraud lawsuit.
The lawsuit was brought in 2020 by two of Tom Girardi’s former coworkers following their divorce. Jayne was not involved in “any wrongdoing” as attorneys Philip R. Sheldon and Robert P. Finn claimed in late 2020, according to her lawyer’s confirmation.
In their lawsuit, the attorneys claimed that Jayne “aiding and abetting” Girardi, who was 81 at the time, in his alleged criminal activity. Allegations surfaced that Girardi stole money from the families of the people who perished on Lion Air Flight 610. After being sued by his business partners, Girardi filed for bankruptcy under Chapter 7.
Jayne, now 51 years old, posted on Instagram about her triumph.
“Thank you to my friends that have stood beside me. All I asked for was time and understanding,” She penned
Prior to announcing her big triumph, the reality star uploaded a screenshot of a Los Angeles Times article about Girardi’s alleged affair with a former judge, in which he allegedly bought her a beachfront condo and sent her a $300,000 wire from his firm.
Jayne started out her caption with, “Wow,” This completely threw me for a loop, although I was well-versed in jewellery, shopping, and cosmetic surgery.
While the judge’s lawyer told the outlet that his client had no idea Girardi was stealing from his clients, the allegations have been widely reported. He said the money “was NOT marked as coming from a [Girardi Keese] trust account” and that Girardi “never shared anything with her regarding the source of any gifts.”
After 21 years of marriage, in November of 2020, Jayne filed for divorce from Girardi. Jayne told Andy Cohen during the Season 11 reunion that her husband handled all of their financial matters while they were married.
“I gave every paycheck to my husband,” Jayne bragged after marrying the infamous lawyer in 2000. I have given away every cent of my earnings.
Jayne went on to explain to the presenter of the show exactly why she persisted in her marriage despite the host’s repeated attempts to get her to leave.
She said, “I stayed because I had no access, You’re characterising it as ‘for the money.’ I’m telling you I could not leave because I had no access to the money.”
After Girardi’s vehicle tragedy in 2018, Jayne discussed his cheating scandals with her co-stars on an episode of “RHOBH,” taped in July 2021.
“I was just assuming he was with some other woman,” she admitted. After the crash, Girardi reportedly spent 12 hours unconscious. At the time she was asked who she thought her distant husband was seeing, she said, “Any of them. You can take a pick.”
“You guys have no idea what I’ve been living through, no idea what I’ve been through. This is my life,” She continued.
