Emily Ratajkowski slams Ellen DeGeneres Taylor Swift interview
Once again, Ellen DeGeneres is under heat for how she treated a high-profile guest on her now-defunct daytime talk show.
On Friday, Emily Ratajkowski said that while Taylor Swift’s career was only getting started, she was humiliated by the TV megastar.
“This is so f-ked up.” The 31-year-old model writes in the video’s comments section that “she’s literally begging her to stop.”
The TikToker mashed together two separate Swift clips. Both are from her time on Ellen DeGeneres’ show in 2012 and 2019’s Zane Lowe interview. Though Swift doesn’t specifically name the person, their dialogue seems to suggest that Swift was responding to the person’s criticism of her performance on the Ellen DeGeneres programme.
Swift says that she was uncomfortable with an earlier interview she did when she was 23, because she felt like people were reducing her to the guys she dated and “making slideshows of my dating life and putting people in there that I had sat next to at a party once.”
She told Lowe on Beats 1 on Apple Music that people were “deciding that my songwriting was a trick, rather than a skill and a craft,”
“It’s a way to take a woman who is doing her job and succeeding at doing her job and making things, and in a way, it’s figuring out how to completely minimize that skill,” Swift elaborated.
