The studio Warner Bros. Pictures has released a new featurette for Baz Luhrmann’s upcoming biographical music drama Elvis, which is set to hit theaters on June 24.

“The film examines Elvis Presley’s life and music through the lens of his tumultuous relationship with his enigmatic manager, Colonel Tom Parker,” according to the synopsis. “The story spans 20 years, from Presley’s ascent to prominence to his incredible notoriety, all set against the backdrop of America’s changing cultural environment and loss of innocence.” Priscilla Presley, one of Elvis’ most significant and influential persons, is at the heart of that trip.”

Austin Butler portrays Elvis Presley, Tom Hanks portrays Presley’s manager Colonel Tom Parker, and Olivia DeJonge portrays Presley’s wife Priscilla. Helen Thomson portrays Elvis’ mother, Gladys, Richard Roxburgh portrays Elvis’ father, Vernon, Luke Bracey portrays Jerry Schilling, Natasha Bassett portrays Dixie Locke, David Wenham portrays Hank Snow, Kelvin Harrison Jr. portrays B.B. King, Xavier Samuel portrays Scotty Moore, and Oscar nominee Kodi Smit-McPhee portrays Jimmie Rodgers Snow.
