Elon Musk’s ex is selling college photos and a signed birthday card to pay her stepson’s tuition
Jennifer Gwynne, who dated the richest man in the world when they were both students at the University of Pennsylvania, is auctioning off a trove of photographs and other memorabilia on the platform RR Auction, which is based in Boston. There are eighteen candid images up for grabs that capture Elon Musk in his earlier years as a college student. Also up for grabs is a handwritten birthday note, as well as a gold necklace that Musk presented to his then-girlfriend at the time.
The necklace, which incorporates an emerald from a mine in Zambia that is owned by Musk’s father, Errol, a South African property developer, became the object that attracted the subsequent greatest interest. The images depict a younger Elon Musk engaging in various activities with his pals, having fun with Gwynne, and cuddling up together in the dorm room. None of these activities have been seen before.
Gwynne, who dated Musk for some time in 1994, had made up her mind to sell the electronics in order to raise money to pay for her stepson’s education at a prestigious university. It is not the first time that items associated with well-known marketers have been put up for auction on the website of RR Auction. In August, the organization held an auction for Steve Jobs’s original Apple-1 prototype, which ultimately brought in close to $680,000.
During an interview with Insider Edition, Gwynne revealed that the destiny Tesla Inc. boss has become was already imagining electric-powered automobiles even when the two of them were in a relationship about 30 years ago. She revealed this in a video tweet that was posted by Insider Edition. “He could speak about electric-powered automobiles, or he could speak about petroleum sources,” she said.
