After defeating the golden Godfrey, you’ll face the Morgott boss in Elden Ring as you make your way to the Erd Tree’s base, where King Morgott currently resides. Warning: the identity of Margit the Fell Omen is actually Morgott the Omen King, which you have probably guessed by now. This is a boss you have probably previously fought twice before.

Morgott, the youngest of the demigod siblings, is currently ruling the Lands Between. In addition to being a familiar face from your encounter with Margit while entering Stormveil Castle, you will also run against him again on the battleground of the Altus Plateau. Morgott isn’t messing around this time; the Tarnished pose a legitimate threat to his authority, and he needs you out of the way. How to get to Morgott The Omen King
After defeating Godfrey, simply leave his arena and take the first left to find Morgott. There will be a set of steps ahead of you, and the bloody trail leading to them will be strewn with the bodies of Palm Readers.
You’ll find yourself in Marika’s bedroom, but the Goddess isn’t there. A Black Knife Assassin will instead come after you. Do not overlook these assassin; they are your only real danger between the two bosses.
You can find Morgott waiting for you through the fog gate by the Erd Tree once you’ve dealt with the assassin.
NPC summons to defeat Morgott
The lady who has been directing your quest can be contacted by looking for a summon sign for Melina on the ground before entering the fog. Melina, a non-playable character, is available to battle alongside you.
Dung Eater can assist you in defeating Morgott if you have been following his quest. There are a few prerequisites that must be met before you may do this:
- Met Dung Eater’s Red Phantom at the Roundtable Hold and exhausted his dialogue.
- Retrieved a Seedbed Curse and shown it to him (one can be found within the Capital City ramparts).
- Released Dung Eater from his cell in the Subterranean Shunning Grounds.
You can employ your Spirit Summons, such as Melina and Dung Eater, to aid you in this fight against Morgott, but you don’t have to if you don’t want any assistance.
Elden Ring: How to beat Morgott the Omen King
After the action ends, Morgott will use his new sword to try and kill you. The battle is similar to those with Margit, but Morgott shows off several new techniques.
His sword is lethal, and he’s added several new attack combos, although they all follow the same general formulas as before. So, you should avoid his strikes and strike back when he weakens.
Phase 2
When Morgott’s health bar drops below half, the fight will enter a new phase. He’s about to start calling down lightning-filled trees on the arena, but this is an easy doge. On the downside, it makes closing the distance to him more challenging.
Avoiding his new attacks is essential for ranged players, but so is staying close enough to him to blast him with magic or arrows. Melee players can close the distance quickly and do heavy damage by timing their attacks with his summoning movements.
