The highly anticipated action-sci-fi sequel Dune: Part Two, directed by Denis Villeneuve, is set to start full production on July 21 and is planned to take place once more in Budapest, Hungary. The publication reports that pre-production on the Timothee Chalamet-starring second instalment has already begun in Italy. It is purportedly being shot at the Carlo Scarpa.

The movie will now compete with two high-profile films, including the fantasy comedy If starring John Krasinski and Ryan Reynolds and the dystopian prequel The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, whose release date was just pushed back from October 20, 2023, to November 17, 2023.

Denis Villeneuve will once more helm Dune: Part Two. Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Stellan Skarsgrd, Dave Bautista, Zendaya, Javier Bardem, and Josh Brolin are among the actors who are returning. They are joined by Léa Seydoux as Lady Margot, Austin Butler as Feyd-Rautha, Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan, and Christopher Walken as Emperor Shaddam IV.
In the previous year, Dune gained praise from both critics and fans. It received an incredible 10 Academy Award nominations earlier this year, and it took home six of them, including Best Original Score, Best Sound, Best Film Editing, Best Cinematography, Best Production Design, and Best Visual Effects.
