“Dune: Part 2 – Léa Seydoux Joins the Cast as Lady Margot”
According to Deadline, Léa Seydoux, star of No Time to Die, has officially signed on to Denis Villeneuve’s highly anticipated action sci-fi sequel Dune: Part Two. Most recently, the French actress was seen in David Cronenberg’s body horror film Crimes of the Future.
Lady Margot, like Lady Jessica, is a Bene Gesserit described as a long-standing servant of the Sisterhood, and Seydoux is set to play her. This is the character’s first appearance in a live-action film, as she and her husband, Count Hasimir Fenring, were not included in David Lynch’s 1984 adaptation of Dune.
Dune: Cast
Denis Villeneuve will once again direct Dune: Part Two. Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Stellan Skarsgard, Dave Bautista, Zendaya, Javier Bardem, and Josh Brolin are among the returning cast members. Christopher Walken will play Emperor Shaddam IV, while Florence Pugh and Austin Butler will play Princess Irulan and Prince Irulan, respectively.
Other details
Dune received critical acclaim from both fans and critics last year. It also received ten Academy Award nominations earlier this year, winning six of them, including Best Original Score, Best Sound, Best Film Editing, Best Cinematography, Best Production Design, and Best Visual Effects.
