During Netflix’s ongoing Geeked Week celebration, a small glimpse of the animated series based on the popular Valve game was presented, along with a new image (seen above). Following that, animators Studio Mir — who previously worked on the animated series The Legend of Korra and the Netflix film The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf — teased the forthcoming season on Twitter with a brief video of the Invoker, a figure that has been in the series since its first season.

There was little else disclosed about the upcoming season, so fans will have to wait a little longer to get a better peek at the third season. Season 3 will most likely continue the story of Davion and his company, who have embarked on a journey to rid the world of Dragons and make their homes a little safer.

Dota: Dragon’s Blood, based on the 2013 MOBA game Dota 2, debuted on Netflix in 2021 and has since seen two seasons — known as “Books” — show on the streaming platform, with the second season recently completing up in January 2022.
“The vast fantasy series chronicles the narrative of Davion, a renowned Dragon Knight determined to eliminating the plague from the face of the earth,” according to the Netflix series’ official synopsis. “Following encounters with a powerful, ancient eldwurm and the noble Princess Mirana on her own secret quest, Davion finds engaged in circumstances far larger than he could have ever anticipated.”
