When single father Max learns he has a fatal illness, he vows to try to squeeze all the years of love and support he will miss with his teenage daughter Wally into the time he has left with her,” according to the synopsis. “He persuades Wally to accompany him on a road journey from California to New Orleans for his 20th college reunion, where he secretly wants to reunite her with her mother who abandoned them long ago.”
