Diana Agron discusses the rumor that she dated Taylor Swift
Diana Agron addressed the romance allegations around Taylor Swift in 2011 and 2012. Agron immediately denied any romantic involvement between the two, as well as any claims that she was the song’s “22” inspiration.
Agron insists they were nothing more than pals
She told Rolling Stone that if she were the inspiration for the song, she would consider herself incredibly blessed. “Me? Oh, if only! That’s more because of a friendship than being the inspiration for the song. But I would not be the person to ask about that. I cannot claim that!”
The former Glee star also noted how amusing it was to read fan theories explaining why Taylor Swift and she were merely friends.
She went on to elucidate, stating, “That is so interesting, I… I mean, there have been many stories about my dating life that are so wildly untrue. That’s funny.”
It was speculated that the two women were dating when they were frequently seen together, as both Swift and Agron are vocal advocates for LGBTQAI+ rights and equality.
There is no evidence that the two women had a sexual relationship, and both have been open about their relationships with males, including Agron’s marriage to Mumford & Sons guitarist Winston Marshall, which lasted for three years before they split up in 2020.
In addition to her relationships with Nicholas Hoult and Thomas Cocquerel, Dianna Agron has “casually dated” Bradley Cooper. They were observed kissing and displaying PDA in November, fueling rumors that she has a thing with Harold Ancart.
After a six-year relationship with Joe Alwyn, Taylor Swift is rumored to be seeing 1975’s Matty Healy.
