With the debut of Strongholds in Diablo 4, players will be introduced to a new style of play for the franchise. We’ve got the scoop on the newest enemy- and challenge-filled treasure zones.
Diablo’s emphasis on looting is a direct result of Blizzard’s role-playing game series’ role in popularizing and mainstreaming the mechanic.
The developers have stated that Diablo 4 will have more than 100 new dungeons to discover and vanquish, so there will be plenty of opportunities to loot. The series also features novel Stronghold sites in addition to dungeons.

Why do you need a Stronghold in Diablo 4?
Strongholds are protected areas teeming with monsters and a large, dangerous boss at the conclusion of the dungeon or area.
The developers have stated that all Strongholds will feature mythology and environmental hints that provide information about the area without directly stating so.
The game’s five hubs, each with their own unique set of Strongholds to capture, will offer players a variety of benefits for their efforts.
Diablo 4: Where are Strongholds?
We don’t know the complete scope of Diablo 4’s Strongholds because we’ve only been able to taste the contents of the Open Beta. However, we do know that Kor Dragon, Malnok, and Nostrava are the three Strongholds that can be found in Fractured Peaks.
