DeMario Jackson is accused in two women’s sexual assault complaints
There are two cases against DeMario Jackson, and they accuse him of sexual assault, false detention, and deliberate infliction of emotional distress.
In documents filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court and seen by TMZ, two women who identified themselves only as “Jane Does” said that Jackson had exploited his reputation from the ABC shows to “lure the unsuspecting plaintiffs” into sexual encounters.
Jackson’s accuser claims she met the 35-year-old singer in February 2018 and that they went on a few dates.
The woman claims she let Jackson stay at her house while he was drunk, and that he kept trying to hit on her despite her repeated rejections. When he pinned her to the ground and began assaulting her, the woman claimed she thought she was going to die.
According to the second woman, she and DeMario first “met” online in April of 2019 and he invited her out the following year.
According to the woman’s testimony in court, Jackson told her he only wanted to go on the date if they could have it at his apartment because he was afraid of being recognised.
According to the woman’s testimony in court, Jackson forcibly continued having sex with her after she had told him to stop.
The Los Angeles Times reports that both victims sought help from the UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center’s Rape Treatment Center.
More than five years ago, Jackson made news when an incident involving Corinne Olympios forced ABC to temporarily halt filming of the reality television series Bachelor in Paradise. After becoming “aware of allegations of misconduct,” Warner Bros. announced that it was conducting “a thorough investigation.”
The tabloid claims to have credible sources that confirm the two were engaging in sexual activity in a hot tub in the presence of other cast and staff members. After Olympios claimed the next day that she could not remember what happened, producers reached out to her former colleagues at ABC to get their take on what went down.
