Day N Vegas 2022 which was originally slated for Labor Day weekend has been canceled
Day N Vegas 2022 has been canceled, according to the festival’s organizers, who made the announcement on Friday. The event sent a statement on its social media sites saying, “We’re sorry to announce that a combination of logistics, timing, and production issues have forced us to cancel Day N Vegas for 2022,” read the announcement on the festival’s social media accounts. “The refund process will begin immediately, and funds will appear back in your account within the next 2-4 weeks.”
On June 7, the complete roster for the three-day event was revealed, with Travis Scott, SZA, and J. Cole serving as the headliners. Playboi Carti, 21 Savage, Baby Keem, Summer Walker, H.E.R., Jhene Aiko, Trippie Redd, Jorja Smith, Pusha T, Joji, Aminé, City Girls, T-Pain, Vince Staples, Freddie Gibbs, Steve Lacy, Tems, Syd, Sabrina Claudio, and more artists were all scheduled to perform at the festival. It would have been Scott’s first festival appearance since crowd surges at his Houston Astroworld festival in 2021 left 10 people dead and numerous others hurt. The rapper was scheduled to open Day N Vegas 2021 a week after the disaster at Astroworld, however, after that event, he was replaced by Post Malone on the bill.
The festival was scheduled to return to the Las Vegas Event Ground from September 2-4, 2022, two months earlier than when it took place there last year on the Nov. 12–14, 2021 weekend. The festival is produced by Goldenvoice, the AEG-owned music promotion business that also stages Coachella.
