Doctor Who vet Peter Capaldi and The Good Fight’s Cush Jumbo have been cast as the leads in Apple TV+’s upcoming crime thriller series Criminal Record, which is currently in production. This is Capaldi and Jumbo’s second collaboration, following their work on the Doctor Who spin-off Torchwood.

The synopsis describes the film as “a powerful, character-driven thriller set in the heart of contemporary London.” “An anonymous phone call pits two brilliant detectives against each other over an old murder case, one a young woman in her early career, the other a well-connected man determined to protect his legacy.” The series addresses race, institutional failure, and the search for common ground in a polarised Britain.”
Criminal Record: Cast
Criminal Record is a character-driven eight-episode thriller from BAFTA Award nominee Paul Rutman. Capaldi will play Detective Chief Inspector Daniel Hegart, and Jumbo will play Detective Sergeant June Lenker.
