Comedic actor Leslie Jordan 67 years old Died in Car Accident
Actor and comedian Leslie Jordan passed away in a car accident on Monday in Hollywood, California. He lived to the ripe old age of 67.
Publicist David Shaul confirmed saying, “not only was he a mega talent and joy to work with, but he provided an emotional sanctuary to the nation.”
In addition to his performances on Will & Grace and American Horror Story and Call Me Kat, Jordan was well-known for his portrayal as Beverly Leslie on the long-running sitcom Will & Grace.
But Jordan’s popularity skyrocketed over the past two years as he shared jokes and updates about his family’s health with the world as the pandemic spread. He has over 5 million followers on Instagram.
Jordan was nurtured in the Southern Baptist faith by his devout parents in Tennessee. He subsequently distanced himself from the religion after coming to terms with his sexual orientation as an adult.
He once said, “It’s hard to embrace something that doesn’t embrace you,” he elaborated on the difficulty of doing so.
He returned to the church and even recorded a gospel Song in 2021.
