Coachella 2022: Complete List of Performers
Harry Styles will perform with Billie Eilish and Kanye West at Coachella. Swedish House Mafia are also slated to perform, however their status as headliners is unknown. Wednesday evening saw the formal announcement and entire lineup.
Styles’ first festival performance, and insiders claim he may release new songs before the show. Since the epidemic began in early 2020, he hasn’t released a new album since December’s “Fine Line,” and speculations of new songs have been widespread in recent weeks. Billboard originally revealed his inclusion on the bill; Variety announced his performance last week.
Coachella headlined West in 2011 and Eilish in 2019 (at 20, she is the festival’s youngest performer); SHM played at Coachella in 2012.
There’s also Lil Baby (with Daniel Caesar), Big Sean (with Megan Thee Stallion), 21 Savage (with Danny Elfman), Doja Cat (with Joji), and Run the Jewels (with Run the Jewels).
The event will be held on the weekends of April 15-17 and April 22-24, 2022, at the Empire Polo Ground in Indio, Calif. The worrying omicron spike and the recent Grammy Awards postponement have many wondering if the event will be held in April or pushed out a fifth time.
More than 100,000 individuals coming to and convening at a single site creates limitless opportunities for disease transmission.
On the festival’s website last autumn, the current dates were listed as “April-October 2020,” “April-October 2021,” and “October 2021” were never formally confirmed by organisers. Since Goldenvoice rarely speaks to the press, most of the postponements have come from the Riverside County public health officer.
Plans for the April event accelerated last summer as the concert business resumed a relative normalcy. Several major festivals, like Lollapalooza and Rolling Loud, went off without a hitch, but Travis Scott’s Astroworld in Houston and Drakeo the Ruler’s death at Once Upon a Time in L.A. were tragic.
