Chrissy Teigen announces pregnancy after two years after miscarriage
Chrissy Teigen and husband John Legend are expecting their second child.
She shared the news on social media Wednesday, nearly two years after she and her husband lost a baby due to miscarriage.
Teigen revealed her pregnancy on Instagram, posting photographs of her baby bulge and discussing her anxiety over announcing it. Despite her openness about her fertility challenges, the former model tragically lost a kid in 2020 due to complications with bleeding and placenta abruption.
She described her feelings as a mix of happiness and anxiety.
Each session, she stated, “Every appointment I’ve said to myself, ‘ok if it’s healthy today I’ll announce’ but then I breathe a sigh of relief to hear a heartbeat and decide I’m just too nervous still,”
With her husband and mother by her side, Teigen gave birth to her baby Jack at 20 weeks in October 2020. On bed rest with significant bleeding, she eventually had blood transfusions as a result.
