ChatGPT Professional Version Will Be Available for $42 Monthly
The premium version of ChatGPT, an AI chatbot developed by Microsoft subsidiary OpenAI and trained on a vast dataset of human-generated text, is purportedly being released. Language translation, question answering, and even text completion are just some of the many uses for ChatGPT. It is intended to be versatile and applicable to several NLP applications.
Apparently, several ChatGPT subscribers have lately announced on social media that they have been upgraded to the “ChatGPT Professional” plan, the $42/month premium version. Zahid Khawaja, an AI developer, shared a snapshot of ChatGPT’s pricing, which indicated a monthly fee of $42. According to him, the paid method is far more responsive. On the other hand, one Twitter user said, “I very much wanted to pay for a plan, but 42 dollars is just too much.”
After receiving a massive reaction to its AI chatbot that can compose poetry, essays, emails, and even codes, the AI research organization OpenAI has announced that it will soon monetize its ChatGPT platform. The Microsoft-owned firm has stated that it is “beginning to think about ways to commercialize ChatGPT” in order to “ensure long-term profitability.”
Meanwhile, on Monday, Microsoft announced a multi-year, multi-billion dollar investment in OpenAI, the company behind the AI-driven ChatGPT that has grown so popular. To the public, the tech giant’s “third phase of our long-term cooperation with OpenAI” investment of $1 billion in 2019 is a secret. Microsoft was rumored to be investing up to $10 billion in OpenAI.
“We formed our partnership with OpenAI around a shared ambition to responsibly advance cutting-edge AI research and democratize AI as a new technology platform.” “In this next phase of our partnership, developers and organizations across industries will have access to the best AI infrastructure, models, and toolchain with Azure to build and run their applications,” said Satya Nadella, Chairman and CEO, Microsoft.
