After a break of eight years from the acting world, Cameron Diaz discussed what it’s like to go back into the game. According to an article published in People Magazine, the actress, who is now 50 years old, will co-star with Jamie Foxx in the upcoming Netflix film Back in Action. On Friday’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Diaz talked about her upcoming acting comeback and said that she is both nervous and enthusiastic about it.
Diaz said, “It’s a little bit of muscle memory, you know what I mean. I did that for so long, it’s kind of like the process, I kind of just fell back into it. But it feels a little bit different. And I’ve also made two movies with Jamie, which is amazing… The last movie I made was Annie with Jamie, and so the first movie back is this film with Jamie. So, it’s amazing. He’s so great; he’s so easy; he’s so professional; he’s so talented; and just being able to work with him, it will be so much fun. “
What’s on Netflix notes that Back in Action is a comedy picture directed by Seth Gordon, who is known for directing Horrible Bosses. The title, Back in Action, is apt for Diaz’s comeback to acting. Gordon is known for directing Horrible Bosses. This will be the third time that Diaz and Fox have collaborated on a project; the first time was in 1999 for the film Any Given Sunday, and the second time was in 2014 for the film Annie.
Diaz made her film debut in 1994 with the film The Mask. Her breakthrough performance as the main character in the 1998 film There’s Something About Mary, for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe, was the turning point in her career.
