Welcome to our guide of “Bugsnax: How To Capture a Shishkabug?”. Shishkabug is among the first Bugsnax, players will encounter, but the knowledge it offers is useful throughout the game.
A lesson recap before catching Shishkabug
Players initially encounter a Shishkabug after saving the famished Filbo Fiddlepie from the irritated farmer Wambus. They could have captured a Strabby & a Bunger before going after the shishkabug. Both of these catches were Bugsnax’s beginning tools tutorials. The Strabby showed players how to use the Snak Trap to catch roaming Bugsnax, whereas the Bunger showed them how to use the Sauce Slinger to control Bugsnax. These two lessons are merged in the Shishkabug challenge.
How to capture a Shishkabug in Bugsnax?
The Shishkabug is wary. If the player gets too close, it darts into a close-by bush. The player can’t immediately interact with it in the bush and can’t coax it out. Direct is the word. The player is not the only one on the map, and a Bugsnax can interact with other Bugsnax. Using ketchup as a weapon allows the player to weaponize Bunger’s behaviour. After the player has found a hidden Shishkabug, they must set a Snak Trap in the front, with the Shishkabug’s pink-coloured trail markers as a guide.
After the trap is setup, the player must use the Sauce Slinger to ketchup the bush. Once the Bunger sees this, it tackles the bush, terrifying the Shishkabug. Ignoring the player’s pre-set trap, it will dash to a nearby clump They can catch it if they switch tools quickly. For a familiar puzzle, Bugsnax typically has many variations of the same bug. This bug has two variants: the Tropicabug in Simmering Springs as well as the Instabug at Frosted Peak. Both puzzles require the player to lure a timid Bugsnack from its hiding place using an unique method.
