Brandy was apparently admitted to a Los Angeles hospital after a seizure
Brandy apparently had to be hospitalized after experiencing what may have been a seizure.
According to law enforcement officials quoted by TMZ in a story published Wednesday, Brandy was brought to a local hospital after 911 was called to her home on Tuesday afternoon.
Supposedly, the parents of the “The Boy Is Mine” singer were present at her hospitalization.
The singer updated her Instagram followers on Wednesday with a health update after the news broke.
“Thank you for sending love and light my way,” she wrote. “I am following doctor’s orders and getting the rest I need due to dehydration and low amounts of nutrition.”
The 45-year-old continued by saying how appreciative she was for everyone’s “prayers and support” when she was in the hospital.
In January, Brandy made a splash when she sang the national anthem before the NFC Championship game between the Los Angeles Rams and the San Francisco 49ers.
Her brother Ray J, who gained notoriety after getting a tattoo of the singer’s face on his leg, may possibly be causing friction in her family.

After hearing criticism of his tattoo, he stood firm, adding, “It is my leg, it is my sister.”
Brandy defended the tattoo by stating she appreciated the dedication.
And she spoke out publicly in support of her brother after he revealed he had suicidal thoughts in his online posts.
Earlier this month, he wrote on Facebook, “If it wasn’t 4 my Kidz I would jump off and die tonight,”
Brandy prayed for and supported her brother by writing, “Need you bro @rayj” along with a praying hands emoji.
Ray J may or may not have been with her family as she received medical care.
