“Box Office Results – Jurassic World Dominion Scores Impressive $143 Million in Domestic Opening”
Jurassic World: Dominion — the third and “final” (yeah, right) film in the Jurassic World trilogy and the fifth sequel to Steven Spielberg’s 1993 blockbuster Jurassic Park — earned an astonishing $143 million domestically in its first three days of release, according to Deadline. Pundits predicted Colin Trevorrow’s epic would gross roughly $124 million at the box office, but audiences were definitely anxious to see their favourite prehistoric monsters battle it out on the big screen once more.

Now it’s up to word of mouth (audiences gave the dinosaur film an A- CinemaScore) to catapult Dominion to greater heights in the coming weeks.
Top Gun: Retaliation is another great sequel from Tom Cruise. Maverick performed admirably against the competition, earning another $50 million (down only 44 percent) to bring its domestic total to $393 million. Worldwide Despite losing many of its Imax screens to dinosaurs, the action film has earned an amazing $747 million after only three weeks of release. Maverick will eventually overtake Mission: Impossible – Fallout as Cruise’s highest-grossing film worldwide. The question now is whether it can surpass the billion-dollar mark. It’s worth noting that the original Top Gun grossed $357.1 million in 1986, which increases to $924 million when adjusted for inflation.
