Boo, Bitch: Trailer, Release Date, Cast and Latest News
Many novels focus on a pivotal moment in the protagonist’s life, but a new Netflix limited series takes this theme to an extreme. The protagonist of the spooky comedy film Boo, Bitch is a high school sophomore who is eager to burst out of her shy shell. Basically, she has no idea that the shell is her actual body. At the end of her senior year, Erika Vu (Lana Condor) chooses to go out and have the wildest night of her life. Nothing could have gone better than planned, except that when she wakes up the next morning, she is dead. Now that she is dead, Erika Vu needs to figure out how to wrap up the loose ends in her life.
If she was not well-liked before, she certainly is now, thanks to her newfound incorporeality. To avoid the dungeons, Erica has decided to use her recent death as a springboard to influencer stardom. Netflix’s limited series about an adolescent haunting is inspired less by The Sixth Sense and more by films like Book Smart and the popular Rebel Wilson comedy Senior Year. This is all the information we have about the show at the moment.
Boo, Bitch: Releasing Date
There will be a release date for Boo, Bitch on July 8, 2022. The initial distribution will consist of eight 30-minute episodes. Since Netflix has designated this as a limited series, it is still unknown if the streaming giant has any intentions to produce more seasons. The series’ popularity will determine whether or not there will be more episodes.
Boo, Bitch: Trailer
Today, ghost tales may be found everywhere: So, why is this one different? The trailer suggests a winning combination of supernatural coming-of-age story and teen comedy. The teaser for the programme shows that it does not take itself too seriously, and instead finds the humour in the tragic death of one of the main characters, Vu. It is great to witness Lana Condor’s comic side, something fans of To All The Boys I have Loved Before might not be used to. In her postmortem confusion, she slams against a glass door, assuming that she can pass through it like the ghosts in the movies and TV shows. In another, she remarks that, at least, she can not become pregnant as a ghost, before hesitating and wondering, “Oh wait, can I?” What about phantom offspring?
Several major story points of the programme are also revealed in the trailer. Vu seems to be unable to leave Earth because she has unfinished work there. It is only natural that she would figure out a way around dying. She figures out that if she can get more notoriety after her death than she ever did during her lifetime, she can stay around. The trailer’s signature line, “Something bitchy this way comes,” refers to the metamorphosis of Vu from a high school nobody into a haunting diva in her afterlife.
Boo, Bitch: Cast
One of the most famous members of the cast is Lana Condor. Fans may recognise her from her previous roles in young adult and romantic comedies, in which she also stars. She is most known for her role as Lara Jean Covey in the film adaptations of Jenny Han’s bestselling To All the Boys books. She also recently co-starred with Cole Sprouse in the HBO Max film Moonshot, a science fiction romantic comedy. Condor is not only the show is star, but also the show is executive producer. When asked about her character Erika Vu for Seventeen Magazine, Lana reveals some interesting details. She went on to say, “My character becomes the worst person ever.” She is awful, and I do not like her at all. It will be fascinating to observe how this dynamic develops and how she goes about making the most of her existence in the hereafter.
In the company of Lana Condor are several promising newcomers to the acting world. Zoe Colletti (Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark) plays Gia, Mason Versaw (Gossip Girl) plays Jake C., Aparna Brielle (A.P. Bio) plays Riley, Tenzing Norgay Trainor (Liv and Maddie) plays Gavin, and Jason Genao (On My Block) plays Devon.
