Blueface Arrested for attempted murder after shooting in Las Vegas
On Tuesday (November 15), police in Las Vegas detained a man known as “Blueface” in connection with a gunshot that occurred the previous month. He is anticipated to face multiple charges, including attempted murder.
Johnathan Porter, the rapper’s real name, was wanted for questioning in connection with a gunshot that occurred on October 8 near Sunset Road and S. According to a press release from the Las Vegas Police Department, the incident occurred on Las Vegas Boulevard.
As the statement continues, the artist was detained by LVMPD detectives at around 2:40 p.m., and he was scheduled to be booked into Clark County Detention Center on warrants for attempted murder with a deadly weapon and discharging a pistol at/into an occupied structure.
The mugshot of Blueface was also provided by the department.
Blueface, who is based in Los Angeles, found commercial success with their song “Thotiana” in 2019. The song reached the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100. Including 2019’s “Daddy,” featuring Rich The Kid and peaking at No. 78, and “Slide,” featuring French Montana and Lil Tjay, which peaked at No. 90, “Thotiana” is his lone top 40 entry to date.
Among the three releases by the hip-hop artist to appear on the Billboard 200, 2019’s Famous Cryp debuted at No.
The controversial rapper’s high-pitched voice, which has been compared to that of the cartoon character Courage the Cowardly Dog, is what originally brought him to public attention. Memes featuring his music played over clips of the animation quickly became viral on the video-sharing website YouTube.
In August of this year, Blueface made headlines after his girlfriend, Chrisean Rock, was arrested for punching him during an argument in an Arizona club.
