Lucario should be used with X-Attack. This character’s main strategy consists of setting up and landing his Power-Up Punch attack, as mentioned in the previous paragraph.
The special attack will be massively boosted if you activate the Battle Item before charging up – especially when you follow it up with Bone Rush.
Trainers can also experiment by swapping out items. Battle Item Eject can be used to launch a Gen IV character away from danger.

Whichever addon you choose, Power-Up Punch is Lucario’s most powerful attack. On the battlefield, trainers who master the Bone Rush combo will become a serious threat very quickly.
