Best Animation Movies of 2022 (Release and Upcoming)

Hotel Transylvania: Transformania is the fourth film in Sony Pictures Animation’s Hotel Transylvania franchise and is now available exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. Despite Genndy Tartakovsky’s absence from the director’s chair in favour of the writer’s, the third instalment in the Drac franchise lives up to the kinetically elastic animation he introduced in the first two films. In the film, Brian Hull, a YouTube mimic and voice actor, replaces Adam Sandler as Dracula.

DreamWorks Animation’s latest adventure, The Bad Guys, is based on the books of the same name for young readers. Our heroes, a pack of anthropomorphic wolves, piranhas, snakes, sharks, and tarantulas, establish a pact to do good in exchange for freedom from prison. Obviously, when life throws a wrench into the works, things do not always go as planned, right?
The cast of voice actors, including Sam Rockwell, Marc Maron, Craig Robinson, Anthony Ramos, Awkwafina, Richard Ayoade, Zazie Beetz, Lilly Singh, and Alex Borstein, makes the movie sound much more interesting than its original idea suggests.
One Piece Film Red
Many people are looking forward to seeing One Piece Film Red, one of the most anticipated anime movies, in theatres this summer. It is the 15th film in the One Piece franchise and the third that manga artist Eiichiro Oda has produced from start to finish. A new female figure, sketched on the original key graphic, is revealed to be a daughter of “Red-Haired” Shanks and the film’s protagonist, One Piece Film Red.
