Ben Simmons Wants Back $1 Million Diamond Ring From Ex Maya Jama
Ben Simmons, a Brooklyn Nets guard, reportedly submitted a court demand about the $1 million diamond engagement ring he presented to Love Island host Maya Jama.
Even though the NBA star purportedly proposed in December 2021, their relationship ultimately ended in December 2022.
It seems that the couple’s long-distance relationship and hectic schedules have been causing tension between them. Jama has its headquarters in London, whereas Simmons calls New York City home.
There have been rumours of a romance between Simmons and Jama since 2019. In July of 2021, they made their romance public with a PDA at Wimbledon. Maya later made their birthday celebration for him Instagram official by posting a sweet message, as reported by Cosmopolitan.
The Sun has revealed exclusively that following the breakup, Jama did not give up the $800,000 engagement ring. She has since received a legal letter from the 6-foot-10 point guard demanding that she return the ring right away.
The Sun reports that a representative for the presenter acknowledged that the 26-year-old NBA player had written to her. “Maya received a request from Ben’s representatives on Friday afternoon, asking her to return the engagement ring that he gave her as a gift last year.”
It has been stated that Jama dated UK rapper Stormzy from 2015 until 2019, and that Simmons dated reality star and model Kendall Jenner. Simmons’ season with the Nets has been mixed. He is averaging 7.5 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 6.4 assists per game.
