Bader Shammas and Lindsay Lohan Have Tied the Knot
Shatter the cup, toss the rice, and add to the wedding register. Lindsay Lohan and Bader Shammas have tied the knot, so congratulations are in order.
Reports said on Saturday that the Mean Girls actress had a little wedding to her secret husband hours before her 36th birthday. That “Lindsay Lohan is married” was confirmed by a spokesman, the tabloid reported.
Late on Friday, Lohan shared a photo of herself and her boyfriend, both of them beaming broadly. She captioned one of her photos, “I am the luckiest woman in the world. You found me and knew that I wanted to find happiness and grace, all at the same time. I am stunned that you are my husband. My life and my everything.”
Deploying loving emoticons, she added “every woman should feel like this everyday.” Dakota, Lindsay Lohan’s younger brother, was one of the many influential people who commented their congratulations.
Lindsay initially showed off her engagement ring in late November last year. At the time she alluded to Shammas with the Gertrude Stein-like description “My love. My life. My family. my future”. When the actress was in Dubai, she met the wealthy Kuwaiti. Though Lohan is willing to tag him in Instagram, his account remains hidden. The 35-year-old was schooled at both the University of Tampa and University of South Florida, studying mechanical engineering and finance.
In a discussion with Extra in February, Lohan made it clear that her wedding would be mellow, and she would not be a bridezilla.
“I’m more low-key,” she said. “Even on my birthday, I want to make sure everyone else is good. And then I can be okay. So, I’ll be more like that. I’m looking at destinations. I’ve already started talking to a friend of mine about the dress. But I want to do things right and I want to pace everything.”
