Avengers: Infinity War – Directors Joe and Anthony Russo want ‘Chris Evans’ to Play Wolverine
The directors of Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame, Joe and Anthony Russo, say that Chris Evans could try his hand at another iconic superhero after playing two different superheroes in Marvel superhero movies.
The Russo Brothers were asked what other Marvel characters they’d like to see Evans play after he already portrayed Johnny Storm/The Human Torch in Fox’s Fantastic Four movies and Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe while speaking to ComicBook.com as part of their Phase Zero podcast. The two claimed that the solution was obvious right away: Wolverine would be the winner.
Joe Russo remarked, “Evans has incredible range, great physicality, and he’s really good at body control.” He is a superb actor. He’s nothing like Captain America, and I don’t mean that negatively. Steve Rogers has a very composed, subdued demeanour. Chris brings a lot of energy to the stage because he is vivacious, funny, and charismatic. I want to see him take action such as Wolverine.
Over the past few weeks, debate has centred on Evans’ history and potential in the field of comic book movies. The actor recently expressed his opinion that playing Captain America again would be a “tall order,” but he also expressed his desire to try out Johnny Storm once more in a future movie. It’s possible that Evans will continue to appear in the MCU, especially as other potential heroes, given how frequently the multiverse is mentioned in MCU stories right now.
