Aubrey O’Day’s bizarre defence of Photoshop image of hugging Jesus in Bikini
Following the weekend’s odd photoshopping fiasco, singer Aubrey O’Day temporarily locked her Instagram account.
Now the celebrity has responded, saying that her Instagram is “curated like a museum of ART,” and posting a new photo of herself in a thong bikini with Jesus at the pearly gates.
The controversy began on Saturday, when a TikTok user uploaded a video criticising O’Day’s obviously doctored Instagram postings.
The former member of the girl group Danity Kane has been posting images from popular tourist locations, primarily in Bali but also including the Greek island of Santorini, for months.
O’Day always looks her best in the accompanying photographs, which feature her with uplifting sayings.
The TikTok video also showed that many of the posts’ background images were stolen from other influencers’ work, giving the impression that the postings were clumsily edited.
O’Day deleted her posts as rumours circulated, but now she is back to share what could be her craziest Photoshop work ever.

In addition to insulting the girl whose TikTok video had garnered so much attention for her account, she told her admirers that she had recently visited heaven and “ran into Jesus and we hugged it out.”
“And not that I need to explain myself, but I’ve been in this industry for over 20 years and have been travelling the world since I was seven,”
“If I want my Instagram to be curated like a museum of ART then that’s what the f**k is going to happen. I’m an artist, a REAL creator. I do all of my creative from my music to my flicks. Everything from my hair, glam, nails, styling, backdrops, editing, shooting,” she continued.
O’Day continued, “The weather is not always perfect when I shoot, and I vacation alone,” which is why her photos are so posed and staged.

O’Day has posted numerous more unscripted videos of herself in Bali on her Instagram Stories, just in case you were beginning to think she was just making it up as she went along.
“I don’t need to be flown places. Let alone the fact that a lot of the shots I give y’all are in places you have to spend hours scaling mountains to get to. Respect my aesthetic, I work hard to give y’all beautiful content that feels the way the places I travel vibrate. Because I want y’all to vibrate high with me,” she wrote.
At the end of her letter, she addressed a last message to the “lil tok girl” whose video had attracted so much attention to her page.
“I suggest you learn this lesson fast: You don’t even need to concentrate on others to be your own version of special and necessary in this world. You can make positive changes just by using your own gifts. Stop looking left and right if you wanna move forward.”
In 2020, paparazzi images surfaced of O’Day out and about looking nothing like the blonde bombshell she portrays on Instagram, further adding to the mystery surrounding her real appearance.
O’Day was incensed and claimed the pictures were not real, but the photographer vouched for their authenticity and said they accurately depicted O’Day.
