“Astro Boy Reboot – Thomas Astruc Will Be Next Miraculous Creator for Anime Series”
Thomas Astruc has been announced as the next creator to bring Astro Boy back to modern pop culture. Astruc’s previous work includes the global franchises Miraculous and The Little Prince. Method Animation is currently working on 52 episodes, which will address timely issues such as the impact of social media and environmental concerns.

Aton Soumache, president of Method Animation, commented on Astruc’s contribution to the storied franchise. “Astro Boy is so universal and modern that we’re not just creating a reboot, but a consistent continuum in full respect of the original universe.”
Astruc confirmed that both French and Japanese creators would collaborate to bring Astro Boy back to the big screen in the same way that Miraculous did.
The super-powered robot boy is an iconic Japanese creation and Osamu Tezuka’s signature work. Astro Boy was also one of the first anime titles to be released in the United States, paving the way for an entire genre of entertainment. Since then, the character has been adapted numerous times, including a 2009 feature film and a more recent preschool-oriented version of the series
