According to the specialists, this tracking has been going on since the version of iOS 14.6 that was launched in May of the previous year.

According to the study, Apple was able to track every action or behavior that an iPhone user was engaged in because all apps are downloaded through the App Store. This allowed Apple to keep tabs on the user’s behavior. It is interesting to note that the researchers believe Apple receives the logs from the App Store in the form of a JSON file and does so in real-time. The IDs of users who access the App Store to download applications and engage in other actions are contained within the files.
These experts believe that the new rules may cause consumers to have increased concerns regarding their privacy, despite the fact that Apple has implemented significant adjustments for advertisements in the most recent versions of iOS. Apple’s updated advertising guidelines have had a negative impact on some websites, such as Meta, but the company has been able to increase the number of advertisements available on the App Store for its customers. Even though the problems we’re talking about here are related to iOS 14.6, researchers can’t say for sure that newer versions of iOS, especially iOS 16, also track information from the App Store in the same way.
