Annette Heche is fighting for her life after a tragic vehicle accident
Authorities say a woman rammed her car into a house in Los Angeles’ Mar Vista area on Friday which set it on fire. Reports say of the situation that Anne Heche was the driver.
The driver was traveling at a high rate of speed when she ran off the road and collided with a residence, Los Angeles Police Public Information Officer Jeff Lee tells. The impact left the car engulfed in flames and the driver suffered burn injuries. She was taken to a local hospital by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics in critical condition. It took firefighters more than an hour to “access, confine and fully extinguish the stubborn flames within the heavily damaged structure,” the LAFD said.
Injuries to other people were not reported.
During her stint on “Another World,” in which she played twins Vicky Hudson and Marley Love, Heche became a household name and won a Daytime Emmy Award for her work on the serial opera. Acting in films like Donnie Brasco, Six Days Seven Nights, and Wag the Dog were among her subsequent credits.
During the late ’90s, her connection with Ellen DeGeneres generated tremendous public attention, much to Heche is professional discomfort. “blacklisted” was how Heche described her feelings after a 2021 interview with Page Six.
After dating Ellen DeGeneres from 1997 to 2000, Heche says she has not done a studio photo in ten years because of her busy schedule.
As recently as the past several years, Heche has appeared in a number of television shows, including “The Brave” and “Quantico” According to her IMDB biography, she has a number of acting projects now in post-production.
