Anne Heche is “not expected to survive” the tragic collision, her representative said
An actress’s representative confirmed on Thursday night that Anne Heche is still in a coma and “severe” and “not expected to survive,”
The representative said, “she’s being kept on life support to determine if any are viable.”
The statement went on to express gratitude to the “We want to thank everyone for their kind wishes and prayers for Anne’s recovery and thank the dedicated staff and wonderful nurses that cared for Anne at the Grossman Burn Center at West Hills hospital,” at the Grossman Burn Center at West Hills hospital for their care of Anne.
The spokesman continued “Anne had a huge heart and touched everyone she met with her generous spirit. More than her extraordinary talent, she saw spreading kindness and joy as her life’s work —especially moving the needle for acceptance of who you love. She will be remembered for her courageous honesty and dearly missed for her light.”
Last week, Heche, 53, was driving a blue Mini Cooper and smashed into a garage at a Los Angeles apartment complex. Soon after, she slammed into another house in the Mar Vista neighbourhood, causing another fire.
The LAPD informed Fox News on Thursday that Heche is blood test “revealed the presence of drugs” in her system, but that “additional testing is required to rule out any substances that were administered at the hospital as part of her medical treatment.”
The agency has stated that they are looking into whether or not Heche was under the influence of alcohol or drugs when the accident occurred.
A representative for Heche claimed on Thursday that the actress has not recovered consciousness since the accident.
