Andrew Tate and his brother will be in jail till when?
According to their lawyer Eugen Vidineac, Internet celebrity Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan will remain in Romanian police detention for at least the next month.
On Friday, Vidineac reported that his clients would be detained for 30 days after a court in Bucharest granted a request by the Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT).
Following the initial 24 hours in custody, DIICOT decided to keep the Tate brothers locked up for another month.
Authorities have dubbed Andrew and Tristan Tate and two Romanian males who were also arrested in the five-house raid “an organised crime group.”
Six individuals are accused of being “sexually exploited” by a “organised criminal group,” who were then coerced to engage in pornographic activities.
Human trafficking and rape claims led to the arrest of 36-year-old Tate and his brother, who was also detained as a suspect.
As the statement puts it, the victims were “into believing that they intended to enter into a marriage/cohabitation relationship.”
A raid was allegedly conducted on Tate’s residence in Romania in 2022 on identical charges that were ultimately disproven.
Tate’s arrest happens soon after she tweeted a troll message to Greta Thunberg. The pizza boxes shown in Tate’s video to Thunberg were not a factor in his detention, according to a DIICOT spokesman.
