This year has seen a meteoric surge in the popularity of Twitch broadcasts in categories such as Just Chatting, ASMR, and the newly-founded Hot Tubs & Pools. Amouranth was watched for 38.4 million hours this year.
Kaitlyn ‘Amouranth’ Siragusa has secured the number one slot on Amazon’s streaming platform with 3.8k hours live in 2021 across Just Chatting, ASMR, and hot tub categories.
Amouranth was at the vanguard of all of these streams. The 28-year-old has cracked the code of Twitch popularity, and Siragusa’s command of the streaming community has catapulted her to the platform’s top rank for female content creators for the whole calendar year.
That puts her 17.6 million hours ahead of Saddummy in second place, and 18 million hours ahead of last year’s reigning queen, Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys, who drops to third place.
Siragusa finishes the year atop the Amazon-owned platform, but it has been a wild ride for the popular and controversial comedy streamer.
Siragusa has been constructing a real estate empire off the purple-branded portal. Using her Twitch earnings, Amouranth purchased a petrol station — yep, the entire establishment — and added a 7-Eleven to her portfolio.
More recently, the 28-year-old signed a lucrative deal with PlayBoy’s new Centerfold website, which is shaping up to be a big competitor to the popular OnlyFans juggernaut.
While Amouranth owned the platform’s #1 slot by a wide proportion and continues to do so, the rest of Twitch’s female artists were much closer.
