The reopening of American Airlines’ Flagship lounges, where customers can drink, dine, and relax while travelling, was announced today. American will relaunch Flagship Lounges and Flagship First Dining locations throughout the autumn, with the first one opening on Sept. 14, 2021, at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York (JFK).
Customers will find fresh menus from James Beard Foundation chefs, more ways to access the lounges, and identifiable touches from the in-flight experience when they return to the lounges.
“The Flagship Lounge and Flagship Dining experience brings a whole new level of luxury to our customers’ journey, and we are thrilled to showcase our new offerings,” said Clarissa Sebastian, Managing Director of Premium Customer Experience and Onboard Products. “With revamped menus designed in collaboration with awe-inspiring chefs and even more ways to access the lounge, we can’t wait to open the doors and serve our customers this fall.”
American is introducing renowned chefs to its Flagship Lounges and Flagship First Dining to prepare delectable and innovative food items. Each site will have a renowned local chef who will create special menus for their hometown lounge.
Customers with elite membership or who are flying in a premium cabin on a qualified aircraft can use the Flagship Lounge. Customers going to Hawaii in Flagship® First or Flagship® Business will be able to access the Flagship experience, which is new to the list. On qualifying international or transcontinental flights, customers flying in Flagship First have access to Flagship First Dining, which is located within the Flagship Lounge. Flagship First Dining is a full-service restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
