Amber Heard fans collect $1,696 via GoFundMe to donate to NCADV
In honor of the actress, Amber Heard’s supporters have launched a GoFundMe campaign to gather money for the NCADV, the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence. The fundraiser, which was started by Kylie Putnam and is called “Donate to the NCADV In Amber Heard’s Honor,” has raised $1,696 so far. Putnam mentioned Heard’s defeat in the contentious defamation trial to her ex-husband, actor Johnny Depp. Heard’s allegations of abuse against the actor were found to be slanderous, and the jury decided in favor of Depp. By making a donation in Amber Heard’s honor to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, the supporter hopes to let her know that she is appreciated.
A GoFundMe fundraising website for Heard that promised to assist the 36-year-old actress in paying Depp the damages she owes him following the trial was already taken down. A GoFundMe representative informed TMZ that they were able to rapidly flag the profile before a sizable sum of money was raised. It was discovered that the page was not the work of Heard or anyone on her crew.
