Adult Swim Announces the 2021 Festival Lineup, Including the Premiere of ‘Blade Runner: Black Lotus’
Watch parties and panels with popular Adult Swim talent, as well as never-before-seen performances from your favourite artists.
The complete lineup for the 2021 Adult Swim Festival has been revealed. The virtual event will debut on Adult Swim’s YouTube site on Friday, November 12, and will include never-before-seen performances from your favourite artists, watch parties, and discussions with popular Adult Swim stars.
The November 12 itinerary begins at 1PM with a block of watch parties, followed by a series of performances by a range of musical performers. At 4:50 p.m., the Robot Chicken watch party kicks off the second round of watch parties. Fans may expect an exclusive performance by seeing the live world premiere of Run the Jewels’ music video for “Never Look Back.” John Hillcoat, who has directed music videos for Maroon 5, Manic Street Preachers, and others, directed the video. Finally, at 9:55 p.m., the fan-favorite classic Rick and Morty kicks off the day’s last block of watch parties.
The second and final day of the 2021 Adult Swim Festival kicks off with musical performances by Sheer Mag, Kassa Overall, and others. Negin Farsad, Jo Firestone, and Joe Pera are among the comedies for the day, with Joe Pera Talk With You kicking off the watch party segment. Watch parties for the popular Tuca & Bertie and Teenage Euthanasia are also included. The Aqua Teen Hunger Force panel, Rick and Morty: A Global Rick-Off, Flying Lotus, Lil Baby, Blade Runner: Black Lotus Meets Blackout 2022 & Blade Runner 2049, and a full-episode premiere for Blade Runner: Black Lotus are just a few of the live events to look forward to.
Needless to say, the festival will be a blast for everyone involved. More exclusives will be available to watch on HBO Max as part of the global event.
