Adidas AG has decided to review the company’s business partnership with Kanye West
According to the most recent allegations from the advertising industry, the renowned rapper and fashion designer Kanye West’s business relationship with the international sporting goods conglomerate Adidas AG will be reviewed. Kanye West, who recently adopted the name Ye, is well-known throughout the world for his hip-hop music and is regarded as one of the genre’s all-time greats. After a deal for a Nike collaboration expired in 2013, Kanye West and Adidas started working together. In 2016, Adidas and Kanye West continued to work together. This is because Adidas and Kanye West have grown closer over the years.
Adidas’ most recent action occurred when Kanye West appeared at Paris Fashion Week wearing a t-shirt that read “White Lives Matter.” Adidas AG claimed that it attempted to settle the dispute informally with Kanye West but was unable to do so. As a result, the corporation made the decision to reassess its collaboration with Kanye. Both parties would continue to work together to manage the partnership product during the evaluation period. Adidas and Kanye West collaborated on a brand-new range of high-end, limited-edition hues and footwear in February 2015 under the name Adidas Yeezy.
“Adidas has always been about creativity, innovation, and supporting athletes and artists to achieve their vision. “The Adidas Yeezy partnership is one of the most successful collaborations in our industry’s history,” Adidas said.
Kanye West accused the athletic goods manufacturer of attempting to steal his fashion concepts. According to a number of news outlets, Kanye West disparaged Adidas AG on Instagram after the decision to reassess his collaboration. Since Kanye’s Instagram posts are not showing up on his page right now, it is likely that they will be taken down later.
Kanye West has a history of hurting his relationships with collaborators and sponsors. Kanye ended his association with American retailer Gap Inc. last month after alleging that the latter would not permit him to develop Yeezy retail locations. Additionally, Kanye claimed that the business was not promoting his goods as originally intended. At that time, the musician’s attorneys claimed that he had no choice but to end his partnership with Gap Inc.
