Actor Gary Busey has been accused of sexual misconduct at a recent fan gathering
The actor Gary Busey was recently arrested on charges of sexual assault after an incident at a fan gathering in New Jersey.
According to a Saturday press release from the Cherry Hill Police Department, 78-year-old Busey was arrested on Friday and charged with two counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual contact, one count of attempted criminal sexual contact, and one count of harassment.
The Doubletree Hotel in Cherry Hill, a Philadelphia suburb, was the scene of several crimes, according to the local police. The annual Monster Mania Convention was held there from August 12-14.
It was planned that Busey, a resident of nearby Malibu, California, would be there all three days.
A message to the police seeking comment was met with nothing. Additionally, a representative for Busey did not immediately respond to a Saturday message for comment, so it is unclear if he has a counsel who can speak to the charges.
Although Busey first gained recognition for his performance as the titular character in “The Buddy Holly Story.” (1978), he is more renowned for his supporting parts.
