BioWare is commemorating their annual N7 day today by releasing a new image of the upcoming Mass Effect game.
The artwork, which was shared on Twitter, depicts a starship with the lettering “SFX” and very, very small characters travelling to investigate what appears to be an impact site and possibly a body.
One of the characters is unmistakably a Krogan, while another may be a Turian if you squint really, really hard. Of course, at this scale, it’s impossible to say.
Interestingly, “SFX” was the initial code name for Mass Effect, although we don’t know if this is an Easter egg. We do know, though, that Mass Effect will be continued.
You can see the original Tweet in the image below.
Following a gap caused by the mixed reception to Mass Effect Andromeda in 2017, BioWare is presently working on a new Mass Effect. The debut of the Mass Effect Legendary Edition looks to have reignited interest in the series.
We don’t know when it’ll be unveiled, and we don’t know when it’ll be released, but it was announced exactly one year ago, and there hasn’t been much said about it since.
Obviously, we’ll have to wait a little longer for further information, but I suppose the new image is better than nothing.
