A lady arrested at Walmart who tried to pay $500,000 to buy a child
Rebecca Lanette Taylor was detained on Tuesday and accused with selling or buying a kid.
On January 13th, a mother-of-two was reportedly approached by a 49-year-old man in a self-checkout line at a Walmart in Crockett, Texas.
Unknown lady was shopping with her 1-year-old boy in a stroller and her infant in a car seat when she was approached.
According to an affidavit, Taylor made a remark about one of the children’s blonde hair and blue eyes before inquiring “how much she could purchase him for”
Her mother “told her no amount of money would do” when she told her she had $250,000 (£185,456) in her car and would be ready to pay that for him.

“Taylor said that he was the perfect fit and she had been wanting to buy a baby for a long time now,”
It was only after the mother had warned Taylor to keep away from her son that another lady approached her and asked her what her child’s name was; she refused to reveal it.
The two women then exited the store and the mother began her journey to her vehicle.
They started yelling at her as she reached the parking lot, and Taylor was standing behind a black SUV next to the mother’s vehicle in silence.
She kept telling the mother she would pay her $500,000 because she wanted him and was going to take him, according to the affidavit.
The store’s CCTV footage confirmed the mother’s claim, according to police.
Taylor was freed from the Houston County Jail on bail on Thursday, but she faces a jail sentence of up to 10 years if proved guilty.
